Allie Braswell is the Founder and Managing Director of The Braswell Group, a public engagement consulting firm based in Orlando, Florida, specializing in assisting mainstream organizations with building bridges that unite local and global communities. Allie is a passionate and engaged community leader. He is the immediate past president of the Central Florida Urban League (CFUL), serving from February 2010 – February 2014. During his tenure he served as a member of the National Urban League’s Housing Taskforce and Jobs Taskforce. As President and CEO of the Central Florida Urban League, Allie was responsible for leading the efforts to maintain and grow the extensive network of educational, cultural and community partners and alliances that embrace and articulate the organization’s goals. In 2012, Allie was recognized as one of Central Florida’s Most Influential Business Executives by the Orlando Business Journal.
Allie is also a proud military veteran, having served 13 years in the United States Marine Corps. He continued his service to our country and region as a member of the Advisory Committee for Minority Veterans as an appointee of the Secretary of Veteran Affairs, the Honorable Eric K. Shinseki. Most recently he served as the US Army Reserve Ambassador to the Central Florida region. He remains active in the local community through his membership on several local boards, including the Wells Fargo Community Advisory Board, Valencia College Peace and Justice Initiative Advisory Council, Florida Real Estate Foundation and WMFE News 90.7 FM Board of Trustees.
A man of many talents, Allie is an inspirational speaker and author. He published his first book in November of 2013, “Rekindling the Passion: Restoring the Joy and Purpose to Your Life” – a personal journey of development toward your personal greatness. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University.
